Video: Speeding Boat's Steering Fail Sends Florida Students Flying Overboard

Two members of the University of Florida Bass Fishing Team, Hunter Bland and Connor Young, were dramatically thrown from their speeding boat and into Lake Seminole while participating in a contest on January 14.

Video of the incident shows the pair in their bass boat, which was doing a reported 57 mph when a steering fail caused it to swerve dramatically, throwing both students overboard. Luckily, neither of the two were injured.

The accident was caused by the hydraulic steering assembly coming apart.
