VIDEO: Weather mobile brings joy to communities amid COVID-19 pandemic

When times are tough, you can always rely on The Weather Network reporter Nate Coleman to come through.

Amid all of the social distancing restrictions in place because of COVID-19, the Halifax, N.S. video journalist wanted to help, so he jumped into the weather mobile to head across several communities to try to lift people's spirits. His gesture was appreciated.

"I was struggling to find something to help out when it dawned on me that it might be nice to just show the viewers in isolation that I was out there distancing, too," said Coleman.

He asked residents on Twitter to message him if they were aware of anyone in self-isolation who would appreciate seeing The Weather Network vehicle in their neighbourhood.

The post was also shared in the Caremongering-HFX group on Facebook.

“The amount of requests and addresses that quickly began filling my inbox was overwhelming, “ Coleman said.
