Astronauts Upgrade International Space Station Power Grid

Astronauts breezed through a spacewalk on Friday, January 13, to upgrade the International Space Station’s power system.

Friday’s spacewalk was the first for French astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who, together with NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough, spent 3.5 hours on the work though the walk was scheduled to take six hours, according to a report.

It was Kimbrough’s second spacewalk in a week and the fourth of his career. Kimbrough, along with NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, completed similar work on January 6. Credit: YouTube/NASA via Storyful
