A bloody day in Yemen

With a double bomb attack and the shooting of two aid workers, Wednesday was a bloody day in Yemen. The Yemeni branch of the group calling itself Islamic State admitted the bombings in the capital, Sanaa. At least 28 people were killed and 75 injured. The first blast at the Houthi al-Mo’ayyad mosque was caused by a suicide bomber. Earlier on Wednesday, two Red Cross employees were shot dead by an unknown attacker in the northern Yemeni province of Amran. Media reports say moments after the first blast in Sanaa, a car bomb went off outside the mosque as emergency workers arrived. Several are thought to have been killed.
