Cameron Peak Fire Turns Sky Orange Near Fort Collins

The Cameron Peak Fire in northern Colorado turned the sky orange in nearby communities as it grew to over 96,000 acres on September 7, according to local reports. As of September 8, the fire was 102,596 acres, fire authorities said.

This footage, recorded at the Horsetooth Reservoir near Fort Collins, shows smoke blocking out the sun and an orange haze over the area. Journalists and locals captured similar views nearby.

The fire grew amid high temperatures over the Labor Day weekend, leading to fresh evacuation orders.
