Cargo Train Derails in Iowa as Bridge Collapses

A cargo train derailed on September 23 while crossing the Floyd River, in Alton, Iowa, as a bridge collapsed after weeks of heavy rainfall.

No injuries were reported and no known hazardous materials leaked from the train, according to the Sioux County Sheriff. The trains were carrying sand and soybean oil, according to local news channel KTIV.
