Cold Snap Brings September Snow to Parts of Montana

Low temperatures created a wintry mix for higher areas in north-central and southwestern Montana on Monday, September 7, according to local reports.

The National Weather Service in Great Falls reported widespread rain and snow as temperatures dropped to a near record cold.

This video shows snow falling along US Route 2 at Marias Pass on Monday. Glacier National Park reported snow also, at Logans Pass.

Temperatures were forecast to drop into the 20s and 30s overnight into Tuesday, local media reported. Freeze warnings were issued for counties in western Montana through Tuesday morning. Credit: Kristen Inbody via Storyful
