Confused Workers React to Queensland Earthquake

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake hit southeast Queensland on Thursday, July 30. Geoscience Australia said the quake, which struck at 9.41 am, was centred 62 miles off Fraser Island at a depth of 22 miles. A magnitude 3.9 aftershock followed in the area. The tremor, albeit gentle, shocked Queenslanders who were not used to earthquakes.
