Damage caused by the CZU Lightning Complex of fires could be seen on a hill overlooking a ranch south of Pescadero, California, in video shared on September 2.

The CZU Lightning Complex, a group of wildfires in California’s San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties, had burnt more than 85,000 acres and was 46 percent contained by September 2, officials said. They added that evacuated residents had begun to return to their homes, saying: “As residents begin to go home, be mindful that traffic interruptions may exist due to fire and utilities equipment working in the area.” Credit: @cladogramical via Storyful
