Dog and pups rescued from quake-hit Turkey building
STORY: The owner said the dog gave birth while trapped in the basement.
After hours of work, an animal rescue team managed to reach to the basement where Sila and her newborn puppies were living.
They survived thanks to a large bag of dog food that was left in the basement.
The mother and her puppies were taken to nearby city of Adana for treatment.
The death toll in Turkey from the earthquakes has risen to nearly 46,000 with about 6,000 people killed in neighboring Syria.
