Eastern Nebraska Residents Wake to Several Inches of Snow

A winter storm was expected to bring four to six inches of snow to the Omaha area on Tuesday, December 29, with two to three inches accumulating by sunrise, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation advised drivers to stay off the roads as reduced visibility and hazardous conditions were expected.

Meteorologist Jeff Jensen shared this footage on Tuesday morning, which he said was taken in La Vista, southwest of Omaha. La Vista Police declared a snow emergency ahead of the storm, asking residents to move vehicles off the roads to make way for plows.
