Floods in India's north leave dozens dead

Officials conducted an aerial survey over the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, which showed the extent of the destruction.

Destroyed food items, clothes, electrical appliances and vehicles were seen drying in the town of Rudrapur.

In February, more than 200 were killed in Uttarakhand after flash floods swept away a hydroelectric dam.

Monsoon rains in India usually last from late June to September.
