Flurries Seen in NYC as City Hits Record Snow-Free Winter

Snow flurries were seen in parts of New York City in the early hours of Tuesday, January 31, but showed no signs of sticking as the city surpassed a record for the “latest first measurable snowfall for Central Park.”

Footage captured by Twitter user @northeast_snow_ shows light snowfall in Inwood, a neighborhood in upper Manhattan, on Tuesday morning.

Despite the lack of snow, temperatures are set to plunge in the area heading into the weekend, with windchills as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit possible on Friday night into Saturday, the National Weather Service said. Credit: @northeast_snow_ via Storyful
