Glass Fire Leaves 'Mile After Mile' Blackened in Napa County

The Glass Fire reached 74 percent containment and has burned through nearly 67,500 acres in California’s Napa Valley as of Friday, October 9, fire officials said.

The blaze has sent shockwaves through Napa Valley’s hospitality industry after destroying renowned restaurants and wineries in the region.

Reports said about 20 wineries in the area were destroyed or damaged by the Glass Fire.

Tourism officials told local media that Napa Valley was facing “layers of crisis” as the region dealt with the coronavirus lockdown, heat waves, and wildfires.
