Snow, rain and wind were reported across California’s Bay Area on Thursday, January 16, as a severe winter storm swept through the area. In San Francisco, flooding was reported and flights were delayed.
Widespread rain, wind, hail and snow were forecast to hit on Thursday, prompting flood advisories to be issued through Friday.
As of Thursday evening, 1.21 inches of rain had fallen in downtown San Francisco, the National Weather Service reported. One to 3 inches were forecasted.
