Helicopters Fight Wildfire Ravaging Turkish Resort Area

At least three people died in Manavgat as wildfires raged in southern Turkey on July 29, the BBC reported.

Hotels and buildings in the resort city of Marmaris were evacuated as flames approached, local media reported.

Investigations were underway to determine the causes of the fires, officials said. “Those responsible will soon be held accountable for their attack on our nature and our forest,” a spokesperson for the presidency said.
