Historic Yearlong Mission Launches to the International Space Station

A historic yearlong mission to the International Space Station (ISS) launched in a Soyuz spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on Saturday, March 28 (around 1:42am Kazakh time). Expedition 43 crew members, NASA astronaut Scott Kelly and Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko, will be the first astronauts ever to spend a year living and working on the ISS.
