Investigators probe potential link between Colorado shootings

The FBI has joined the investigation of the shooting death of a 48-year-old man from Windsor, Colorado, who was biking down a country road when he was shot to death on Monday, May 18.Police are looking into whether that shooting is connected to the earlier shooting of a motorist on a nearby interstate, which occurred on April 22.John Jacoby was riding down Weld County Road 15. Investigators say Jacoby was shot twice. They haven’t released information on the caliber of bullet or say where Jacoby was shot. His body was discovered by a passing motorist at around 10am. On April 22, 20-year-old Cori Romero was traveling south on Interstate 25. She remembers seeing a black SUV. A bullet shattered the driver’s side window and struck Romero in the neck.There have been a string of shattered window incidents along Interstate 25 and other roads, but in each of those cases no projectile was recovered.
