Lake-Effect Snow Transforms Oswego into Winter Wonderland

Winter weather warnings were issued as lake-effect snow hit parts of northwest New York on Tuesday, December 7.

Footage filmed by Joseph Champaign shows flurries blanketing houses and cars in snow in Oswego.

Lake-effect snow was impacting areas east of Lake Erie, dumping between 3-6 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The NWS said the coldest temperatures since March were expected as snow storms continued across the region through early Wednesday morning. Credit: Joseph Champaign via Storyful
