Large California Wildfire Forces Evacuations, Threatens Hundreds of Homes

A giant wildfire in northern California has forced mandatory evacuations and has already destroyed three structures. The Rocky Fire stood at 15,000 acres burned and 5 percent contained on July 31 near Lower Lake. The fire first started burning on July 29, but no cause has been listed.
