Long-Tailed Porcupine Treated to Zoo Tour on World Porcupine Day

A coendous or prehensile-tailed porcupine was treated to a walk around the grounds of Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, Washington, on July 2 to mark World Porcupine Day.

The zoo had allowed animals to take supervised walks around its grounds for several months as the coronavirus pandemic kept visitors away.
