Longhorn Highland Cattle Not A-moo-sed by North Carolina Snowstorm

These cattle might be Scottish in heritage, but that doesn’t mean they were particularly thrilled by the appearance of a “mammoth” snow storm that hit their North Carolina home on Sunday, December 9.

Among the long-haired, long-horned cattle in the footage is a mother who nudges her calf towards a drink of warm milk from her teat. The others seem to be consternated at the thick snowflakes clinging to their shag.

Sunday’s snow storm in the southeastern states left behind 10 inches of snow in Lubbock, Texas, and is still expected to drop a foot of snow or more, plus ice, on North Carolina, Virginia and elsewhere. Credit: Hawfields Cattle Company via Storyful
