Albany, New York, experienced one of its biggest snowstorms for the month of December, with “additional snow” having potential to “raise this storm up the rankings even more”, an alert from the National Weather Service (NWS) on December 2 said.
The storm, which was impacting Albany and surrounding communities, was the “8th biggest snow event” in Albany and the “3rd biggest snowstorm this early in the winter season”, according to the NWS.
More than 17 inches of snow had fallen at the Albany International airport as of 8 pm on December 2.
