Police Issue Appeal After 5 Dogs Thrown Over Fence at Animal Shelter

Police in Redlands, California, are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person who threw five dogs over a fence at an animal shelter.

Surveillance footage shared by the Redlands Police Department on August 12 shows a person getting out of a white car outside of the Redlands Animal Shelter and throwing the dogs over a fence one at a time.

According to police, the dogs were not injured and staff at the animal shelter “will make every effort to place them with good homes.”

“Please remember that leaving animals unattended outside the shelter is not permitted and endangers the animals. Please call Redlands Police Dispatch if you have a stray animal that needs to be picked up when the shelter is closed,” police wrote. Credit: Redlands Police Department via Storyful
