Puppy Rescued From Apartment Complex Following Russian Strike in Odesa Region

Russia carried out an overnight strike on an apartment complex in Serhiivka, a small town located in the Odesa Oblast, which killed at least 18 people on July 1, Ukrainian officials said.

Rescuers with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) searched for survivors at the site, including animals. Video released by SES on July 2 shows a rescuer carrying a puppy out of a damaged building in Serhiivka.

The SES appealed to people in the area to adopt the puppy and a kitten that was found at the site. Credit: SES Ukraine via Storyful
