Rare white ‘spirit’ bear with cub sighted in Canada

Native to British Columbia, the Kermode bear is a subspecies of the American black bear that can occur in both black and white colour. It is also referred to as a "spirit" or "ghost" bear because of its distinctive white fur, according to Encyclopaedia Britannica's Advocacy for Animals website.

"I have searched on northbound and southbound trips for 14 years and this was the first time I have ever seen one," said Denee Blanchard of UnCruise Adventures.
