Interstate 94 in North Dakota was closed on Saturday, January 18, after snowfall paired with high winds caused zero visibility conditions.

The no-travel advisory extended beyond Interstate 94, the report said. The areas affected included:

- Interstate 94 and Interstate 29 in Cass, Richland and Traill Counties
- Fargo and surrounding areas
- Grand Forks

- Steele

If motorists were caught, they faced fines up to $250. One of the videos posted from the North Dakota Highway Patrol shows one truck driver trying to get past roadway barriers, while others show the high winds and blowing snow. Credit: North Dakota Highway Patrol via Storyful
