Russian Supply Craft Arrives at International Space Station

The unpiloted Russian Progress supply craft berthed at the International Space Station (ISS) on July 5, two days after its launch from Kazakhstan, bringing with it 6,100 lbs of supplies to the Expedition 44 crew.

The success follows two previous supply mission failures. On June 28, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, carrying a supply capsule, exploded shortly after takeoff. On April 28, a Russian supply craft spun out of control and failed to reach the same orbit as the ISS. Credit: YouTube/NASA
