Sacramento Firefighters Battle Arson Fire

A grass fire near Sacramento, California, spread to 430 acres on Monday, July 27, as the blaze was fanned by north winds. Fire crews managed to stop the progress of the blaze in Elverta and lifted evacuation orders for nearby communities at 5 p.m. The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said one home, six cars and a tractor were destroyed, while a person was arrested on multiple counts of arson.
