Shell-o There! Tortoises Visit Gorillas at Deserted Toronto Zoo

Burmese star tortoises at Toronto Zoo had free reign of the facilities on Monday, April 6.

The zoo is providing daily updates to patrons on the lives of its animals, as part of a “closed but still caring” campaign prompted by the coronavirus pandemic.

Footage released by the zoo shows two Burmese star tortoises paying a visit to the zoo’s Western lowland gorillas.

The video shows the curious gorillas congregating at the window of their enclosure to take a closer look at their miniature visitors.

The zoo has been closed since March 14 as part of efforts to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Credit: The Toronto Zoo via Storyful
