Snowstorm Pummels Kingman, Arizona

A snowstorm dropped more than 12 inches of snow on Kingman, Arizona, on the eastern edge of the Mojave Desert, between February 20 and 21, snarling traffic and prompting the closure of government offices, courts, and schools.

Kingman Police urged people to stay at home and not to drive on the snow-covered roads. The Arizona Department of Transportation (DOT) closed Interstate 40 and US 93 in Kingman, and shared photos of semis lined up in both directions about six miles east of the town. Credit: Kevin Julle via Storyful
