Solar Prominence Captured by NASA Observatory

A bright solar prominence, or large gaseous feature that extends outward from the sun’s surface, was spotted on April 21, according to NASA. The agency said the solar prominence ejected outward to about the size of the Earth at its greatest height and most of it fell back into the sun. These images show the phenomenon over a six-hour period. Credit: YouTube/NASA
