New South Wales Floods Sweep Houseboat Into Fennell Bay

Floods ravaged parts of New South Wales on Tuesday, April 21, after a powerful storm swept the region the night before. At least three people were killed in the Hunter Valley.

The New South Wales State Emergency Service was overwhelmed with emergency calls, carrying out 3,552 jobs and 23 flood rescues from Monday to Tuesday morning. About 180,000 homes were left without power, several schools were closed on Tuesday and transport services were affected.
