Streak of Light Across Sky Mystifies in Hawaii

What was that streak of light across the Hawaiian sky on August 30? Several news agencies reported they received messages from people about what they assumed was a meteor shower at about 11 pm. It wasn’t a meteor, though, according to local media. It was a Russian payload — Cosmos 1315 launched in 1981 — re-entering the Earth’s atmosphere.
