Summer Snow Falls in Northeast Wyoming

Northeast Wyoming was covered in a carpet of snow on September 8, forcing road closures and causing power outages, according to local reports.

A record daily low temperature of 31 F was recorded on September 7 by the National Weather Service office in Rapid City, South Dakota. It was the earliest freezing temperature since 1921.
