The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for portions of southwestern Virginia, warning patchy fog could reduce visibility. Local news reported high altitude wildfire smoke from the West Coast was still having a “slight effect” in the Virginia area, creating a “vivid horizon sun.”
