Surfers Ride Wild Waves in Nielsen Park

At least three people were killed and four homes were washed away when devastating floods swept through the Australian town of Dungog in the early hours of Tuesday, April 21. The New South Wales Premier Mike Baird confirmed three deaths in the Hunter Valley town, where homes were washed off their footings, according the ABC.

Wild weather whipped Sydney and surrounding regions in New South Wales on Monday afternoon, April 20, through to Tuesday, April 21. The New South Wales State Emergency Service was overwhelmed with emergency calls, carrying out 4470 jobs and at least 23 flood rescues by Tuesday morning, mostly in Sydney’s northern suburbs and the Hunter region.
