Timelapse Shows Glass Fire Burning in Napa County

Wind-driven wildfires burning in California’s Napa County engulfed several homes, at least one winery, and forced thousands to evacuate on September 27, reports said.

This timelapse footage, by the National Weather Service, shows the Glass Fire burning in the hills near St Helena.

The fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning and scorched more than 2,500 acres within a day. It was zero percent contained by late Sunday.

CBS reported that two other wildfires – the Boysen and Shady fires – also broke out in the area on Sunday. Credit: NWS Bay Area via Storyful
