Strong winds and rain affected parts of Germany on Tuesday, May 5, with what was described as a tornado spotted near the North German town of Schwerin, according to reports. The storm brought thunderstorms and winds up to 100 Kilometres per hour (62 mph) to North Rhine-Westphalia, Northern Germany and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
