Train Plows Through Heavy Snow After Storm in Truckee

A train pushed heavy snow off the tracks in Truckee, California, after a storm dumped 20 inches in the area on Wednesday, January 16.

The National Weather Service declared a blizzard warning for the Tahoe region, warning of “accumulations of 3 to 6 feet” and wind gusts of 90 miles per hour. Wednesday’s extreme weather has halted traffic and left an aircraft at the Truckee Airport standing on end.
