Turkish newspaper editor arrested over tweets “insulting” president

The Editor-in-Chief of the Turkish newspaper Today’s Zaman, Bulent Kenes has been arrested. He is accused of “insulting” President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a series of tweets. The warrant for his arrest was issued after the prosecutor objected to an earlier decision not to detain the journalist. He said it was simply him expressing a critical opinion.
