Victoria Town of Mildura Hit By Dust Storms Two Days in a Row

The town of Mildura, Victoria, was hit by dust storms on January 22 and 23, as floods and dust storms caused disruption across the state.

According to local reporting, the January 23 dust storm turned residents’ pools brown, while the surf park was forced to close after its lagoon turned from blue to dark brown.

Blinding dust storms also blew through inland New South Wales on January 23, turning the air in the regional centre of Tamworth into a brown haze. Credit: Laith Beveridge via Storyful
