They have clear instruction to act against any danger to life of their own and to innocent people. We are the guarantors of the sacred sites of Islam. We are the reason that the sacred sites of Islam, or the sacred sites of Christianity and Judaism, don’t look like Palmyra in Syria.” Palestinian executive committee members met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah and prayed for the victims of the violence. Abbas called for an end to the Israeli crack down: “Israel must stop its aggression and reach out for peace because we want to reach a political solution with peaceful methods and not other means.” Earlier the Israeli military demolished the family homes of two suspected Palestinian terrorists.
