Wild Winds Batter Fort Lauderdale as Tropical Storm Isaias Bears Down on Florida

Residents of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, were urged to seek shelter as Tropical Storm Isaias tracked into Florida, bringing strong winds on August 1.

The National Weather Service issued significant weather warnings for the Fort Lauderdale area, expecting winds in excess of 45 miles per hour and strong thunderstorms.
