Winter Storm Blankets Minneapolis Region in Nearly 8 Inches of Snow

Nearly eight inches of snow fell in Minneapolis and St Paul after a storm hit Minnesota on Tuesday, October 20, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The NWS said 7.9 inches of snow fell in the Minneapolis-St Paul area on Tuesday, breaking the previous October 20 record of three inches. The weather service said Tuesday’s snowstorm was also the heaviest so early in the season for the Twin Cities region.
