Winter Storm Coats Upstate New York in Snow

Residents of upstate New York awoke to several inches of snow on Tuesday, November 12, following a winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS).

The NWS reported snow on Monday near Champlain Valley in Vermont and New York. The NWS said about eight to 12 inches of snowfall was expected in the area by Tuesday afternoon.

These videos show snow covering the ground of a neighborhood in Potsdam, New York, as a plow clears a path for residents.

Richard OHanlon, who filmed the footage, said he measured nine inches of snowfall in Potsdam. The NWS reported as much as 12.3 inches of snow in Franklin County, New York, by Tuesday.
