Winter Storm Strands Dozens of Drivers on California's Mount Baldy

Dozens of drivers were stranded on California’s Mount Baldy late on Monday, December 28, after a winter storm dumped snow on the area.

This footage, recorded by Dnumyar Oedat, shows snow piling up in the hours before around 100 drivers became stuck in a traffic jam caused by winter storm conditions.

Oedat, who posted the video to Facebook, wrote that he and his family were lucky to leave the area early. “Lesson learned, next time be prepared,” he said.

ABC7 reported that snow plows and trucks were called in to assist as police officers put up barricades to prevent more visitors from entering Mount Baldy Road near Shinn Road. Credit: Dnumyar Oedat via Storyful
