“The View” Star Meghan McCain Shared Her Feelings About Sunny Hostin in a Personal Instagram
Meghan McCain shared a sweet Instagram tribute for Sunny Hostin’s birthday.
McCain opened up about how much she loves working with Hostin on The View.
Hostin turned 52 on October 20.
Meghan McCain is opening up about her friendship with her View co-host Sunny Hostin. On Tuesday, McCain shared a heartwarming tribute for Hostin’s 52nd birthday on Instagram, writing such sweet words about her colleague in the caption.
“Happy, happy, happy birthday @sunny - I hope you have an incredible day filled with bees, honey, chickens and all the farm animals you love! (I hope Manny finally got you a mini goat),” she wrote alongside a photo of them wearing matching sweatshirts.
“You are the most loyal friend, cool under pressure interviewer, the team mate you always want in your corner when shit goes down - while always having total class in every situation,” she continued. “I appreciate getting to work with you every day and all I continue to learn from you.”
McCain also said when she asked for prayers going into labor, Hostin pulled through. “I also appreciate that when I was going into labor, I ask you to pray for my vagina - and you did to your catholic saints! 🤣 That’s friendship!” she wrote. “I look forward to celebrating in person whenever we can with lots of bourbon! (Also you’re aging backwards!)”
Hostin replied to the post, “Yes. I did pray for my girl’s vajayjay. And the saints heard me. 😉 @meghanmccain♥️♥️♥️.”
While the two are known to have different political perspectives, fans appreciate their genuine friendship behind the scenes of The View. “You two are the reason I love the show!! #brilliantwoman 🧡🧡,” one person commented.
In June, when allegations arose than an ABC executive allegedly called Hostin “low-rent,” McCain jumped to her co-host’s defense.
“Look, all of us have zero tolerance for any kind of racism or intolerance period. Sunny and I did have a long conversation this weekend. She’s in a lot of pain and I am disgusted by these allegations as everyone is,” she said. “And I just want to make one thing really clear: There’s a lot of people that say a lot things about these hosts and this show in the press, but when you attack one of us, you’re attacking all of us. And I stand and support Sunny throughout all of this in any way that you need. And I stand and support my colleagues at ABC who have been attacked like this.”
