Village of Foremost’s council takes shape

Lorne Buis has been elected for another term as Mayor of the Village of Foremost, as voted by the council following the Municipal Election.

“Mayor and Deputy Mayor remain the same and everybody else is there,” said Buis. He added the organizational meeting in October went well.

In addition, water pipeline work in Foremost has finished the surveying portion of the work.

“We’re just waiting for the contractor to come and start actually putting it in the ground,” said Buis.

The work is expected to cost approximately $185,000. While the Village works on various projects every year, such as paving or sidewalk maintenance, the last major update to the water system was the water plant four years ago, said Buis.
