This Vine Of A Raccoon Dropping Its Candyfloss In A Puddle Is The Saddest Thing You’ll See All Day
Life, it can be so cruel.
Ignoring for one moment the obvious question (what’s a raccoon doing with candyfloss anyway?) this Vine is the most devastating thing we’ve seen all day.
Taken from what appears to be a Japanese television show, the short clip, below, shows a raccoon holding on happily to a sugary treat.
But, before it has chance to tuck in, disaster strikes.
The critter accidentally rests the candyfloss in water as it attempts to move it – and sees it disappear before its very eyes.
It thrashes around in the puddle in desperation trying to work out where it has gone – but it’s too late.
You can genuinely feel its despair.
If there was a tidy metaphor for missed opportunities in life, this is it.
As Ryan Nelson, who posed it on Twitter, said: “it really put my troubles in perspective.”
He added: “Tbh, this probably isn’t the sort of video you should watch on the first Monday in January back at work. *cries at desk for all the reasons*”
